Kodaly’s beautiful hungarian style duet is undoubtedly one of the most important contributions to the repertoire for the duo violin/cello. Here you can hear and watch it as my wife Paula Novoa (violin) and myself (cello) play it in Fribourg.

Giuliani wrote a very beautiful chamber work here. It’s operatic belcanto with just a violin (Christina Gallati), a guitar (Maria Efstathiou) and a cello (Sebastian Diezig).

During rehearsals we played this piece also at very slow speeds. That’s when I realized that the amount of harmony changes is staggering – Wolf must have been more than just your ordinary workaholic composer.

This sonata by Jean-Marie LeClair is a beautiful piece of music and I had the great pleasure to play it with my wife Paula Novoa (violin) and my aunt Silvia Nowak (harpsichord) in a packed church in Blitzingen for our traditional christmas concert. This christmas concert has become a big event over the years and myself as a citizen of Blitzingen am very happy to be able to contribute to the tiny village’s cultural calendar.
