New Video online: Dvorak Cello Concerto with OVUF under the baton of Alexandru Ianos

The Dvorak Cello Concerto is one of the most beautiful Cello Concertos if not the most beautiful of them all and for sure the most famous one. Recently I had the opportunity to play it in Fribourg with the Orchestre de la Ville et de l'Université de Fribourg under the baton of Maestro Alexandru Ianos. A great experience! Here comes the video for my own "Digital Concert Hall". Enjoy it!

2 new videos online: Bach Gamba Sonata No. 1 and Haydn Divertimento in D for 3 celli

On October 2, 2011 I played together with my very good colleagues Mattia Zappa (Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich) and Yoël Cantori (Staatsorchester Rehinische Philharmonie Koblenz) a fundraiser concert for the Association Mail Mali Neuchâtel. On the program were also Bach's Gamba Sonata No. 1 and Haydn's Divertimento in D Major both in versions for 3 celli. Jokingly Yoël said: "This is the ideal "quartet": no viola and no violins: at last it sounds in tune!"

I sell my beautiful Bailly - Cello: Contact me if you are interested

I decided to sell my beautiful Charles Bailly Cello made in 1927 in Mirecourt, France. Watch this video (in german) to hear me give you all the information and to hear me play a bit on it sou you get an idea of the sound.

I own this instrument since 1996 and it has served me perfectly well and without any complications so we are talking about a very reliable cello. The sound it produces is beautifully warm and powerful. Response is easy. I took good care of it and thanks to that as well as its sturdiness it is in a perfect state without any cracks whatsoever and a fully intact arching. If you buy the cello you will also get a second bridge that will allow you to modify the sound of the instrument.

New video: The beautiful LeCLair-Trio No. 8

This is a live recording from the 2012 edition of the traditional Blitzingen concert. My wife Paula Novoa plays the violin, my aunt Silvia Nowak the harpsichord and I play the cello. A family affair!

And yet another video: Sebastian Diezig's Top Gun Variations op. 2 (2012)

This is my latest and so far largest composition. I was obviously inspired by genius composer Harold Faltermeyer's captivating movie score to Hollywood blockbuster "Top Gun" from which I adapted the "Top Gun Anthem" to the cello. Alle the following variations however are my own work. The recording of this video took place live at the concert in Fribourg Centre le Phénix on January 13, 2012. Enjoy the video.
